The 3rd Bridgend Scout Group was registered on 15th February 1985.  We were located firstly at Llangewydd Junior School and then moved on to the community centre in Cefn Glas.  After the successful application for Lottery Commission money we were able to build our own HQ which has been our home since 1999.

The Group has a Beaver, Cub and a Scout section.  An Explorer Scout Unit is also partnered with the Group. . We are situated in South Wales on the M4 corridor. To the south is the beautiful heritage coast and to the north are the Garw, Ogmore and Llynfi valleys. 

We would welcome additional adult help.  If you are able to spare some of your time to help us at our evening meetings or are interested in becoming a leader please contact the Group Scout Leader at the Scout Hall.

      The Hall is available for      
    hire by community groups                          
            and the public.

The Scout Group will always welcome the help of parents/guardians. There are many ways in which you can give a helping hand. You could get involved in assisting the leaders during an evening meeting, or perhaps help in a fund raising event or even provide a much needed extra pair of hands at a camp. You may also have a particular skill, hobby or knowledge which could be shared with the Pack at a meeting. Please consider these possibilities and see Christine Faulkner (Akela/GSL) for information.
